These are our favorite days,
snow days
when powder-dammed roads
disrupt life-flow,
draw us closer
to each other and neighbors.
Shovels, candlelight,
forts, and games.
The storm lingers,
the town’s abuzz
as snowfall muffles
the world at large.
At least for a little while.
